Dr. M. Monirul Qader Mirza is working as an Adjunct Professor and Graduate Faculty Member, Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences, University of Toronto Scarborough. Dr. M. Monirul Qader Mirza is a distinguished environmental scientist specializing in climate change adaptation and water resources management. With a career spanning several decades, he has made significant contributions to research, policy, and education in these fields. Dr. Mirza’s work is recognized globally for its impact on sustainable development practices and resilience-building initiatives in response to climate challenges. He is  Associated with Working Group II of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) -the winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. Coordinating Lead Author (CLA). He is Currently Designated as the Chief Advisor of South Asian Research HUB.

Dr. M. Shahidul Islam is a distinguished Professor of Physical Geography at Dhaka University’s Department of Geography and Environment. He completed his B.Sc. (Hons) and M.S. in Geography at the University of Dhaka with top honors in 1983 and 1984, respectively, followed by a Ph.D. under the Commonwealth Scholarship Program at the University of St. Andrews, UK, in 1996. Currently, he serves as the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Association of Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows (BACSAF). With a career spanning over three decades, he began as a Lecturer at Rajshahi University, later becoming the Founding Chairman of the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Chittagong University. He was appointed Professor in 2005 and served as Dean of the Faculty of Sciences at Jagannath University before returning to Dhaka University in 2010. Dr. Islam has extensive expertise in natural environmental studies, including geomorphology, coastal dynamics, oceanography, paleo-environment, and disaster management. He has authored over 70 research publications and seven books, and teaches courses at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
