Asif Moinur Chowdhury pursued his bachelor in “Soil, Water & Environment” and his MSc degree in “Environmental Science”. He also had another MSc in Ecology from University of Bremen, Germany. His MSc researches were on “Consequences of irrigation with treated textile dye effluents” and in Germany that was on, “Nano-toxicology and impacts of AgNP on Microalgae”. In his professional life he started his carrier as project coordinator in irrigation and natural resources management at Friendship NGO in Garo Hills. After his MSc in Germany he joined as a research assistant at the Dept. of General and Theoratical Ecology at UFT (Center for Environmental Research), Bremen, Germany and conducted researches on perfluro-alkyl substances and their toxic impacts. He then moved to Bangladesh and joined as an adjunct faculty at the Dept. of Coastal Studies & Disaster Management in University of Barishal, Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, he has got the experience of working as a Climate and Environment expert with some national and international NGOs, Barishal City Corporation and also with Divisional Commissioner’s office of Barishal. He was the Climate Change Focal person of UNICEF, Barishal Field Office as a Consultant and Youth Mentor & Advisor for “Alliance for Youth and Development (AYD) (the biggest alliance of volunteer youth organizations comprises of more than 100 organizations of Barishal Division)”. He has research interests on climate change and environmental management. He has got international publications on different Climate Change issues of Coastal Bangladesh, Nature based solutions, Ecology and Ecotoxicology. He has attended in many national and international conferences in country and abroad.
