Tanver Hossain is a motivated development communication professional with over 13 years of experience in donor relations, public relations, and social marketing with national and international nonprofit organizations. As a creative and resourceful person with a strong ability in designing environmental and sustainability communications strategies, BCC, and Social Marketing communication strategies, he possesses the attributes necessary to succeed in reaching out to the target audience and stakeholders.
He has outstanding capacity in designing and implementing the strategic communications plan to raise awareness in grassroots audiences to policymakers in government, media, civil society, and academia. Coordinator Communication and Partnership at USAID’s Bengal Tiger Conservation Activity (Bagh); Coordinator Communication & Business Development at WildTeam Bangladesh; Assistant Program Coordinator Communication, Education and Public Awareness Sundarbans Tiger Project under Zoological Society of London. He led several social marketing campaigns and behavior change communication programs; designed and translated documents; produced communication materials and content for print, television, radio, online, social media; organized events; liaison with policymakers and civil society; crafted media strategy, re-branded companies; facilitated training; provided public speaking.
He has successfully completed several consultancy assignments with Save the Children in Bangladesh; British Red Cross, Bangladesh; Center for Bay of Bengal Studies (CBoBS), Independent University, Bangladesh; Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK); The Carter Center, and The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in the area of communication and advocacy.
In addition to that, he is an artist and a contributing editorial writer with many national and international newspapers. He holds Masters in International Relations, and Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh; a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism Press Institute of Bangladesh; Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
