Baseline study and environmental management framework development for improved cattle farming in Satkhira.This project aims to Develop a framework and Extension of Livestock (Cattle-based) in Tala Upazila (Satkhira District) by using modern technology and adopting Improved management practices. The aim and objective is to increase income and employment opportunities for Cattle-rearing entrepreneurs through milk production and the productive use of Cattle dung. Specific objectives are:
- Increase milk production and reduce the lack of animal meat through good farm management practices.
- To prepare alternative earning sources by producing vermicompost
- To prepare skilled local veterinarian
- To make collaboration between farmers and service-providing government and non-government agencies.
- Direct physical interventions like creating IGAs
- Capacity enhancement and knowledge management through training and information dissemination
- Cattle’s disease reduction through collaboration with related individual organizations.
