Mr. Sawrav Barua has more than 15 years of experience in the research and development sector. Having sound knowledge & skills in qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis, and critical thinking in the social development aspects. He has exercised a lot of PRA to find out the social dynamics in urban and rural areas of Bangladesh especially for persons with disabilities, minorities, and urban slum dwellers. He has developed SHG (Disable Self Help Groups) and established a coastal disaster-resilient disability-inclusive model. In his earlier career, He also conducted Community Risk Assessment, and Community Vulnerability Assessment in partnership with the Comprehensive Disaster Management Program (CDMP) to promote coastal resilience along the coastal belt of Chottogram. He possesses expertise in conducting socio-economic vulnerability of Persons with Disabilities in Chittagong. Mr. Sawrav has facilitated the Food security vulnerability assessment, Garments-based Early Childhood Care and Development, and also Rohingya Emergency support in terms of refugee and host communities. He also worked with USAID, Manusher Jonno Foundation, Helvetas Bangladesh, Bangladesh Center for Advanced Studies, and national and international development partners. Mr. Sawrav has expertise in Skill Development, Economic empowerment of Pro-poor Families, Advocacy, Partnership approach, local government development, etc.
