Ayan Debnath
Research Intern
Ayan Debnath is a dedicated research intern(GIS analyst) at the Center for People and the Environment (CPE). He brings expertise in spatial analysis, disaster mapping, and environmental research. He holds a BSc and an MS in Geography and Environmental Studies from Chittagong University, where he developed a strong foundation in geospatial technologies and environmental sustainability.
At CPE, Ayan is actively involved in collaborative research projects addressing critical environmental challenges. He contributes to GIS-based disaster mapping, climate data analysis, and visualizing environmental issues in Bangladesh. His technical proficiency spans a wide range of tools, including ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine (GEE), Python, and Canva, enabling him to create impactful research outputs and presentations.
Ayan’s commitment to applying GIS to address critical environmental issues aligns with his aspirations to integrate artificial intelligence into geospatial solutions.
