Research Intern
Amreen Islam is a dedicated Research Intern at the Center for People and Environ (CPE),where she contributes to research focused on environmental resilience, sustainable development, and Climate smart agricultural technologies. She brings a strong academic background in Agricultural Economics and a growing interest in development economics, food systems, and data-driven policymaking. At CPE, Amreen plays a key role in data reporting for projects, field research, literature reviews, report writing and lab-based soil and water analysis.
Her technical proficiency includes tools such as MS Excel, Stata, SPSS, and Power BI, which she uses for data analysis, visualization, and reporting. Amreen also has experience in preparing research documentation for community-based interventions. Driven by a commitment to inclusive development and practical impact, she aspires to integrate evidence-based solutions into real-world challenges. Her research interests center on food security, equity, environmental economics and sustainability in climate-affected and underserved regions.
